An Evidence Based Approach to Cannabis

Marijuana, THC, CBD, and all their various manifestations (creams, ointments, gummies, other edibles, etc…) are really popular right now. If you live and practice in any of the numerous (and growing) states that have legalized its use, patients often ask about using these products. Even Reader’s Digest and Consumer’s Reports have done extensive articles on its use. But what is the truth about its usefulness in patient care? What does research show? Should we use it with acupuncture or herbs? And if we do, what are the potential interactions, warnings, and contraindications? This course will answer these questions and more.

This course will be presented on Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 1-3pm pst via live webinar.

Course Goals

A participant in this course will be able to:

  1. Understand cannabis and its constituents and how they may be helpful clinically
  2. Identify any potential interactions with Chinese medicine
  3. Determine if recommending cannabis derivatives is right for your practice

  4. Rayne

It is a good class….I’m not at all a user of the substance, so learning a little bit more about it is good, especially since it is now more prevalently used.

  5. Scott

Good research, i like the western point of view matched with TCM.
