Herbs that Act Like Drugs
We know herbs work…as practitioners, we see it all the time. This course takes a deep dive into a bunch of herbs that act like drugs. We will be exploring how the drugs and herbs work from a bio- and Chinese medical point of view. Can we use these herbs to replace certain drugs? Can understanding these drugs help us understand the herbs at a new level? Join us to find out as we explore Guan Ye Lian Qiao and Antidepressants, Drain Damp Herbs and Diuretics, Hong Qu and HMG-CoA Reductase Inhibitors, Phytoestrogenic herbs and Sex Hormones, Fan Xie Ye and Purgative Herbs and Laxatives, Anti-Inflammatory Herbs and Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), and Yin Yang Huo and Agents Used in Erectile Dysfunction.
