Sperb’s Herbs – Nourish the Blood and Qi Formulas

Every other week an exciting new episode of the Sperb’s Herbs podcast is recorded. This episode will cover one of the traditional categories of formulas, Nourish the Blood and Qi. Besides covering the basics of Chinese herbology including the formulas in the category, and common functions, we will explore the science, pharmacology, evidence, and any potential interactions of the category of formulas. And then there is always something a little quirky about an episode. Whether that is a unique story or an interesting perspective, there will always be something different to learn about.

The course will be hosted on Net of Knowledge. You will be given access to the event on Net of Knowledge before the start date. Course Goals

A participant will be able to:

1. Comprehend basic Chinese and bio- medical information about Nourish the Blood and Qi formulas
2. Converse about current scientific evidence about the uses, dangers, and effectiveness of herbs in the differences between individual formulas in the Nourish the Blood and Qi category
3. Understand the differences between individual formulas in the Nourish the Blood and Qi category
4. Understand and prevent any potential drug-herb interactions

This is California Acupuncture Board (CAB) Category 1 live education course. For NCCAOM, each episode is an 1 hour core PDA. This episode is approved by the California Acupuncture Board and NCCAOM for 1 hour of continuing education and PDAs.
