(2 customer reviews)

Respiratory Drugs and Chinese Medicine

Asthma is one of he most common conditions in the population. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the third leading cause of death in the United States. Add in allergies and the common cold and flu, and it is practically impossible to avoid patients who are or will be on drugs to treat these conditions. This seminar will examine drugs to treat respiratory diseases including those listed here as well as antitussives and expectorants. We will be exploring these diseases in addition to the drug functions, mechanisms of actions, adverse drug reactions, red flags, and herb-drug and acupuncture-drug interactions for each type of drug. Join us for this informative and relevant seminar.

Course Goals

A participant will be able to:

  1. Understand how respiratory drugs and herbs interact
  2. Identify the most common respiratory drugs with potential for drug-herb interactions
  3. Explore how major respiratory drugs act on the body
  4. Protect oneself from potential medico-legal issues arising from interactions

Some of the information was given out too quickly. I haven’t taken any of the other courses by Dr. Greg so I know I’m missing some information but I was left clueless, for example, about what the metabolism categorization for drugs meant.

This course was really challenging for me.
